Who We Are

Alliance of Adigrat Catholic Diocese Foundation (AACDF) is a 501©(3), official partner of Adigrat Catholic Eparchy in Tigray, Ethiopia. AACDF was formed in North America by individuals who share the values of the Dioceses and demonstrate unwavering support for its mission and vision.

Currently in Tigray:

All public and private infrastructure has been looted and destroyed, essentially disrupting all livelihood.
Food and fundamental lifesaving resources like medications are too scarce and nearly non-existent with widespread famine.
All faith-based entities have been targeted, leaving vast destruction of churches, parishes and iconic religious sites.
One third of the population, over 2 million people, are internally displaced.
Hundreds of thousands of children and minors are left without parents, with no resources and guidance.
The entire region has been war-torn, mentally and physically traumatized; even with adequate resources healing and recovery could take years.

Our Mission

We are focused on providing emergent measures that can be for re-building of Tigray

Life sustaining measures that include food, clean water, shelter, medical and school necessities as well as sponsorships and community programs
Assisting in restoration and rehabilitation of existing health care facilities, churches and schools
Restoration and rehabilitation of several catholic churches, parishes and schools that have been ransacked.
Recovery, rehabilitation, and re-integration of families would require extensive collaboration and execution among governmental and non-governmental entities.
Build networks to assist in building capacity of the Catholic Diocese Church affiliations in North America

Our Vision

Our vision is a world where every person has access to the basic human needs of food, water, shelter, and healthcare, regardless of their background or circumstances.

To overcome the current humanitarian crises.
Building additional Health Care Facilities that would accommodate the emergent and subsequent need of the community.
Assist in establishing sustainable basic human needs and services for the people of Tigray.
Facilitate and enhance the pastoral building capacity of Adigrat Catholic Diocese with various catholic institutions and congregations throughout North America.
Our vision is to transform the community so it can thrive objectively and spiritually in the glory of God.
Recovery, rehabilitation, and re-integration of families would require extensive collaboration and execution among governmental and non-governmental entities.
